The Walking Dead gets social in new campaign

Now TV created personalised zombie popcorn holders filled with blood soaked (strawberry food colouring) popcorn to celebrate the launch of season five of The Walking Dead on the streaming site.
The mailers got some good pick-up on social from both celebrities and media due to the individual and quirky touch (who doesn’t want to see themselves zombified?!)

To add to the online campaign, PR poster girl Millie Mackintosh was then transformed into a walker (zombie) by a SFX make-up artist as seen in the video below.

As the TV content provider market continues to become increasingly crowded, it will be interesting to see if the campaign raises awareness for the viewing platform itself, as well as the immediately-recognisable The Walking Dead
