Nike is releasing Nintendo 64 inspired Air Max sneakers

By on Tuesday, July 16, 2019

Retrogaming fans your dream sneakers are here.

Nike is pairing-up two icons of 90’s design, the Air Max and the Nintendo 64 console.

The ‘Nintendo 64 Air Max 97’ line is inspired by the legendary 64-bit system.

The grey echoes the system console and the flashes of green, blue, red and yellow are inspired by the Nintendo 64 logo.

For the detail conscious  – on the tongue, there are three black dots representing the controller inputs, along with a “POWER” and “RESET” button.

On the heel is a Nintendo-shaped Air Max logo.

The trainers are tipped to available at the end of the summer (possibly to coincide with the anniversary of the Nintendo console on Sept 26th?)
