Nike celebrates “crazy” women in sport in new #justdoit ad

Following on from last year’s highly controversial advert starring NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Nike have today released a new ad celebrating “crazy” female athletes.

Narrated by Tennis champion Serena Williams, the spot titled “Dream Crazier” attempts to reclaim labels such as “crazy” which are often used in a negative context; specifically when it comes to women in sport.

Williams reads, “If we show emotion, we’re called dramatic” and “When we stand for something, we’re unhinged”, before ending with: “Show them what crazy can do.”
