It’s Hunting Season: White Creme Eggs are back

By on Monday, January 7, 2019

As you may know, last year Cadbury released 371 limited edition white chocolate Creme Eggs across the country. This included a top prize egg worth £2,000 – this prize was never found.

This year, Cadbury are raising the stakes and will be releasing 783 white Creme Eggs in retail stores including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Co-op, Morrison’s, Asda, One Stop, Marks & Spencer and other independent retailers. Eight of these will be worth £10,000 to be won from the participating retailers.

The limited-edition Creme Eggs will be encased in the normal Creme Egg wrapping, making it more difficult to identify them. Last year a spokesperson for Cadbury revealed a clue for those joining the hunt, explaining to The Independent that “all white Cadbury Creme Eggs, whilst wrapped in the same iconic packaging as the classic Creme Egg, will contain nutritional information that is specific to the white chocolate variant”. In summary, you need to check the nutritional information on the wrapper.

The promotion began on New Year’s Day and will continue until 21st April 2019. If you find a winning white Creme Egg, you need to call the phone number printed on the voucher inside the chocolate’s foil wrapping. There will also be a unique code printed on the wrapping, which you’ll need to use to verify whether or not you’ve won.

An additional difference from last year is that Cadbury will also be hiding several white Creme Eggs in adverts, on social media and on websites from 14th January. If you spot any of these concealed white Creme Eggs, you may be in line to win a cash prize if you take a photo of it and upload it to huntthewhitecremeegg.com.

Happy Hunting!
