Burger King Brazil tackles voter indifference with Blank Whoppers
By James Herring on Thursday, October 4, 2018
Burger King Brazil is mobilising indifferent citizens to vote in the upcoming Brazilian presidential elections through an activation that serves customers ‘Blank Whoppers.’
The campaign makes the point about election apathy by demonstrating what happens when someone else chooses your burger.
The on-the-street experiment captures reactions from the public when they are served up disappointing burgers.
The ‘Blank Whopper’ was delivered to consumers with minimal ingredients such as onions and mayo in a bun
A note delivered with all orders reads “Choosing a blank ballot is waiving your right to choose; and when you let someone choose for you, you can’t complain about the results.”
