Paramount stage epic fan screening for Mission Impossible

Earlier this month – to mark the release of Mission: Impossible – Fallout , Paramount Pictures organised an epic fan screening at the top of the cliff that rises 604 meters above the waters of the Lysefjord, Norway.

Over 2000 fans hiked and scrambled up Pulpit Rock to watch a special screening of the sixth instalment in the Ethan Hunt saga.

The cliff features in a scene which was filmed last November.

Pulpit Rock sits so high that it gives the impression that visitors are almost sat at cloud level.

The Preikestol Foundation, which promotes tourism in the region, is seeing a significant increase in the number of visitors.

Cruise paid respect fans, writing on Twitter: “2,000 feet, 2,000 people, 4 hours of hiking. The most impossible screening of #MissionImpossible Fallout. Thank you all for coming! I wish I could have been there.”

The film broke franchise records when it opened to $61.5 million.

One criticism – how on earth do you focus on the film in such a spectacular setting?

Last month North Face created a pop-up store in the Italian Dolomites.
