Missguided celebrates “flaws” in new campaign

Misguided have continued their push for body positivity by choosing models with unique features to front their new campaign, #inyourownskin.

Wearing the brand’s crop tops and body-con outfits the six models challenge the stereotypical perceptions of beauty in the industry and raise awareness for a number of skin conditions. The six include Joanne, a plus size model with albinism, Maya who has Epidermolysis Bullosa, Isabella who was left with extensive scarring from a house fire, Beth with psoriasis, heavily freckled Polly and Mariana, born with a predominant birth mark across her face.

Back in February the brand revealed new mannequins also featuring skin conditions such as stretch marks and vitiligo. Both activities fall in line with Misguided’s global movement #Keeponbeingyou focusing on positioning themselves as the leading brand to champion uniqueness and self worth for all women.
