This freaky Netflix bus stop ad is causing quite a stir

A billboard, featuring a plastic-wrapped, nude mannequin as been attracting a lot of attention from passers-by in Santa Monica, LA.

Appearing at a bus stop in West Hollywood, the creepy being which looks like a human body trapped inside plastic bag, appears to be breathing.

It has been erected to promote Netflix’s hotly anticipated new series Altered Carbon which focuses on a reality where humans can live forever by transferring their consciousness into a new body. 

Residents were certainly intrigued by the freaky poster.

The life-like ad is drawing a lot of eyeballs, turning a lot of heads and producing pokes from the curious.

Leo Ramsey told CBS LA: “It’s kind of incredible though as far as advertising a TV show goes because it’s a sculpture really, it’s not just a poster.”

Another member of the public added: “I think the whole point is for it to be creepy. I don’t think it’s too much, no.”

Altered Carbon is described as a cyberpunk science fiction novel set 500 years in the future.
