Tuition site corrects the grammar of London’s graffiti

By on Monday, March 25, 2013

The clever people at The Tutor Crowd are capitalising on a universally-held frustration by going around London correcting the  poor spelling and grammar of graffiti scrawled across the capital.

The London-based private tuition group is,  in its own words “taking the classroom to the streets”, transforming yours into you’res, ofs into offs and its into it’s far and wide.

They haven’t been afraid to correct expletives, adding more fire to the stunt, and rightly so –  if you’re going to insult someone, at least get the spelling right! Leaving behind a sticker with the company’s web address, the group have found a great cheeky way to get their name out there. Take a look at their Tumblr page for more examples.

At last! There are so many times that I have wanted to correct street writing and sign writing. Don’t even get me started on the misuse of the apostrophe. As for the way in which people write on online forums… aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
