Unwanted Christmas presents

Ebay have timed this story very well, coming out in what is traditionally a very quiet time of year for newspapers. I’ve seen coverage of this in all the major outlets.

Thousands of unwanted presents have ended up on the auction site over the last few days and many haven’t been opened – cue a good picture opp and a great story for the trading giant.

This also means that many of the items listed on Ebay are unopened and shoppers are taking a ‘lucky dip’ approach to bidding for them.

There were many amusing comments including this one: “I have no idea what’s in these presents except that they are from a scumbag ex…must have been wrapped by someone else as he’s not clever enough to have done them.”
