Radi-Aid Spoof charity single asks Africans to donate radiators to Norway

By on Friday, November 23, 2012

To raise awareness of the many misguided and perhaps patronising charity appeals that do the rounds, a Norwegian group calling itself ‘Radi-Aid’ has launched an ironic appeal (complete with a music video) to ship radiators from Africa to Norway, to help Norwegians cope during the ‘harsh winter months.’

Behind the humour is a serious message, the campaign is hoping to raise awareness of the positive developments happening in African countries and abolish the stereotypical assumptions about the nations.

It’s a clever idea, I just hope people take the time to understand the messages behind the campaign.
