Nike had released a new ad celebrating London’s diverse, vibrant sports culture which features an array of stars including Skepta, Harry Kane, Michael Dapaah, Dina Asher-Smith, Mo Farah, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Ryan Sessegnon. Rio Ferdinand, Ian Wright and Gareth Southgate

Titled ‘Nothing beats a Londoner’, the three-minute film is full of cameos as it shows young sportsmen and women describing the hurdles they face to play the sport they love in the capital city.

The piece opens with grime king Skepta in a cornershop talking on the phone as the instrumental to his 2015 hit ‘Shutdown’ plays in the background.

The ad is winning alot of love on Twitter

In half-term week Nike will be celebrating sport by deploying 75 of their sponsored athletes heading into local communities to inspire Londoners at 250 venues.

Nike’s Jamie McCall said “London is a sports obsessed city and its intersection with culture sparked by the next generation of youth, is shaping a new wave of creative expression and celebration of sports. ‘Nothing Beats a Londoner’ puts a spotlight on this vibrant youth culture and a more exciting, inclusive sports community with Nike at the heart of getting more kids moving across the city.”
