Portrait of The Queen created using 13,000 pieces of Haribo

By on Tuesday, May 29, 2012

To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, food sculptor Paul Baker has created a portrait of The Queen using over 13,000 pieces of Haribo.

Haribo is also asking members of the public to help create a ‘royal inspired artwork’ made up of 10,000 Starmix pieces. All you have to do is select five pieces of virtual Starmix on THIS page. The final piece will be given a home at Haribo’s Yorkshire head office, accompanied by a plaque with the names of everyone who took part for all to see.

Haribo recently unveiled a limited edition, Union Jack branded bag of Starmix.

While the quality of the actual final image isn’t blow-your-load amazing – and the Union Black is red, white and green – it’s the best portrait of The Queen created using Haribo I’ve ever seen.

A fun campaign, with the chance to get involved in a really simple way.
